Biography
Katherine is a seasoned employment law attorney dedicated to advising and defending California employers. With nearly a decade of experience, Katherine has successfully represented private employers across a broad spectrum of workplace issues. She has extensive expertise in defending against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, as well as providing strategic and practical guidance on leave-related matters and employee separations.
Katherine is also highly skilled in conducting independent and thorough workplace investigations and guiding clients through this complicated and nuanced process. She has significant experience representing clients in EDD appeal hearings and advising on wage and hour matters before the DLSE. Katherine began her legal career at a boutique, plaintiff-side employment law firm, where she gained invaluable insight into the complexities of California’s ever-evolving and heavily litigated employment law arena.
Leveraging this experience, Katherine transitioned to exclusively representing employers, providing both proactive compliance counseling and aggressive defense in employment disputes, including both PAGA and class action matters. In addition to litigation, she advises businesses on developing legally compliant employment policies, onboarding documents, and employee handbooks to mitigate risk. Whether working with a small startup or a large corporation, Katherine understands that operating in California without sound employment policies is a liability. She takes pride in crafting innovative legal strategies that protect her clients and allow them to focus on growing their businesses with confidence.
